I'm thrilled to share the exciting news about the Atlas Restaurant Group's latest additions to the Annapolis dining scene! 🌟 They are launching two new concepts: Marmo, an upscale Italian chophouse 🍝, and Armada, a vibrant tequila bar and Mexican cantina 🌮. Both are set to open in late summer 2025 at the Annapolis Waterfront Hotel, replacing Pusser's Caribbean Grille.
These new venues will undoubtedly enhance the local dining landscape, offering unique culinary experiences with authentic Italian and Mexican flavors. I can't wait to try them out! 🎉

An Italian restaurant and a Mexican cantina and tequila bar will be filling the space left by Pusser's Caribbean Grille at the Annapolis Waterfront Hotel, Atlas Restaurant Group announced Friday.
The restaurant space will be divided between Italian restaurant Marmo and the dockside cantina Armada. Marmo will have space for 350 guests with 150 outdoor seats and serve steaks, chops, pasta and seafood, according to the announcement. Armada will seat 200 with 100 outdoor spots alongside City Dock and serve Mexican cuisine including tacos, burritos and quesadillas. The restaurants are expected to open late in the summer of 2025 after renovations.
The addition of the two restaurants to the waterfront comes after Atlas opened its first Annapolis concept, The Choptank, nearby in 2022.
"We are incredibly excited to bring the distinctive flavors and experiences of Marmo and Armada to Annapolis," Atlas CEO Alex Smith said in the release. "These two concepts, along with The Choptank, will create a regional dining destination along Annapolis' City Dock where guests can enjoy three unique dining experiences."
The Harbor East-based restaurant group first announced in October it would be opening two spots in the hotel after a multimillion-dollar renovation project as part of a partnership with Annapolis Waterfront Hotel and Hersha Hotels & Resorts. Atlas will also take over catering and room service at the hotel and build an expanded banquet space for up to 350 guests.

The restaurants and banquet space total a combined 35,000 square feet. A spokesperson for the group declined to disclose the exact dimensions of each individual space. Atlas has not hired a contractor for the construction and renovation work and will be bidding out the work.
Both concepts are designed by Baltimore's Patrick Sutton, a frequent contributor to the Atlas portfolio. Marmo will have a wine list curated from "Italy's renowned vineyards," cocktails and a second-floor terrace with its own bar, the restaurant group wrote in the announcement. Atlas already has a Marmo restaurant that opened in Houston in 2022 and also operates Tagliata, which has a similar Italian chophouse theme, in Baltimore's Harbor East neighborhood.
Armada will offer a variety of tequila and agave liquors on the waterfront.

Atlas recently opened another pair of complementary concepts in the same building in Harbor East. The Ruxton steakhouse and Order of the Ace cocktail bar opened in March at 720 Aliceanna St. at the site of the former Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse. The steakhouse seats 200 guests, and the cocktail bar seats 40.
The group also has plans for a Japanese restaurant in the historic E.J. Codd Co. building at 1425 Aliceanna St. Atlas also signed a 21,000-square-foot lease in that building which will be split between its new headquarters and a 120-seat restaurant.
In North Baltimore, Atlas will add a 200-seat Chinese restaurant to the Village of Cross Keys. The revitalized development, owned by Caves Valley Partners, has signed several other restaurants, including Cece's Roland Park from Cordish Cos. which will open in June.
